Types of Vehicle Fluid Leaks

Modern vehicles in Danville utilize a wide variety of fluids. They help to keep things lubricated, cooled, and running smoothly. While many people start to worry when they notice leaks, not all leaks are bad. We here at Bob Allen Chrysler Jeep Dodge & Ram want you to be an informed owner, so here are some common types of fluid leaks.

One of the most common things you'll see leaking out of your car is water. Your vehicle's climate control system works to decrease humidity in the cabin. The moisture pulled from the air has to go somewhere. Most of the time, it drips out from hoses underneath the car. If you're driving through a very humid environment, water may pour out of these hoses like a faucet.

Motor oil leaks are another common issue. Oil is typically amber or dark brown in color. Leaks occur below the engine and can come from a number of different sources. In most cases, the culprit is just a bad gasket seal. Either way, it's important to get this issue fixed as soon as possible.
