As the Bard once said, "Parting is such sweet sorrow." The Chrysler Town & Country has been a beloved staple of the American family since 1990. On some level, it will be sad to see it go.

We can't spend too much time moping, however, when its replacement is... well, you'll see.

The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica is an all-new minivan for the modern driver. When we say all new, we mean it was designed starting from a blank slate.

It will retain some favorite features of the outgoing model, like Stow 'n Go seats that fold into the floor to open up a cavernous cargo area (over 140 cubic feet). However, the platform was architected from scratch for more athletic proportions. The exterior and interior design are brand new, and exude a sleek, sophisticated attitude.

Under the hood, the 287 horsepower engine is a 4 horsepower improvement. The Pacifica will also do something no minivan has done before: offer a hybrid variant.

The plug-in hybrid Pacifica will achieve a soaring 80 miles per gallon, and can go 30 miles on electricity alone. That means if you're just making short trips around Danville, you won't need to use a drop of gas.
