The Dodge Challenger has always been a staple within the lineup, as this muscle car offers the aggressive appearance and performance power that the brand is best known for. This is why we were thrilled to learn that the new 2015 Dodge Challenger is in the works. Spy photos were recently captured, giving us an idea of what we can expect once this model makes its way to our Danville, KY showroom.
For starters, based on the heavy camouflage covering the Challenger prototype's hood and front and rear fascia, we can expect to see some major enhancements being made. This means that new headlights and a redesigned hood are likely in the future. We might even see a new set of wheels on the new model.
As for the interior, we can anticipate that the Challenger will undergo a mini makeover and be given new materials and alterations that make its controls more user-friendly. It will also receive the most recent Uconnect technology and maybe even a backup camera.
Under the hood we don't expect there to be too many changes. The lineup of engines will remain the same with the base model sporting a V-6 that can generate 305-horsepower and the mid-level featuring a HEMI V-8 that churns out 375 horsepower. For those of you who crave a little extra power and performance, there will also be the SRT model with the supercharged Hellcat V-8 engine.
The 2015 Dodge Challenger will be making its official debut early next year at the North American auto show and sales are expected to begin in either the summer or fall. It won't be too long before we learn more about what we can expect from the redesigned muscle car. Until then, head on over to Bob Allen Chrysler Jeep Dodge & Ram to check out what the new Dodge lineup has to offer!
